Financial Aid |
||
|---|---|---|
| Doane Academy maintains a long-standing commitment to its college bound, socio-economically diverse student population. All tuition reductions, except multiple student discounts, require an annual statement of need from the parents. The School & Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), Princeton, New Jersey, processes the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). Forms and information are available in the Admission Office. Early submission of the PFS form merits early consideration in the distribution of limited financial aid funds. It takes the SSS a minimum of three weeks to process the PFS. | ||
How do we apply? What do we do next? What if I have more than one child applying to Doane Academy? Is there special help for families with more than one child attending? What if I am a non-custodial parent? What is the deadline for filing for aid? Financial Aid Grants: The bulk of the School’s financial aid is distributed as outright grants or tuition reductions to students who could not otherwise afford to attend Doane Academy. Financial aid is funded through Annual Giving solicitation of alumni and friends. Those families who apply for financial aid are expected to be as aggressive in soliciting their extended family’s resources as the School is in soliciting its extended family’s resources. Doane Academy’s commitment to financial aid and other discounts applies only to students who complete the school year. Full tuition is due for students who are asked to leave or who opt to leave for any reason other than a change of residence. Only those families who have 1) submitted their Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) to the School & Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), 2) sent Doane Academy the required tax documentation, AND 3) return the signed contract with the minimum enrollment deposit will be considered for financial aid. Multiple Student Discounts: For families who do not receive financial aid and have more than one child attending the School, tuition is discounted by 10% for each child after the first.
