PEPPERMINT PUPPETEERS PERFORM AT DOANE
The Peppermint Puppeteers recently performed their widely acclaimed environmental play, "The Egg-Cellent Award" at Doane Academy for our lower school students in grades PreK-2. The presentation highlighted recycling, litter abatement, storm drain protection and source reduction. It was funded by Burlington City and Burlington County. It featured an exciting story line, a cast of lovable zany puppets, actors, upbeat music, special black light effects and lots of audience participation. Written and performed by the Peppermint Puppeteers, the show is endorsed by N.J.D.E.P., and educators and government officials throughout the state. The Puppeteers offer six completely different programs on environmental themes, so Doane yearly schedules the Puppeteers performance. The Puppeteers do a great job making learning a fun experience. Judging from the audience response, everyone had a great time and learned something valuable in the process.
Established in 1977, the Peppermint Puppeteers travel to hundreds of schools each year. Additional shows in their extensive repertoire include assembly programs on the topics of health, drug awareness, conflict resolution, self-esteem, and cultural diversity.
